Multi-photon/FLIM Confocal Microscope

    
Deep imaging of thick samples through multi-photon microscopy complemented by lifetime (FLIM) measurements. Single photon confocal microscopy is also available.

• Upright fixed-stage confocal microscope, with inserts for slides and small animals
• Single Photon excitation: Diode Lasers 405nm, 448nm, 488nm, 561nm, 638nm
• 2P/3P excitation: SpectraPhysics InSight Tunable, dual line multi-photon laser. Fixed line @ 1045nm, tuneable line @ 700nm – 1300nm
• 2nd harmonic imaging
• Specialised objectives:
  • 10/0.4 PLAN APO dry objective for tiling and navigation
  • 16/0.8 IMM motCORR, for dipping into cleared specimens
  • 25/0.95NA IRAPO - InfraRed corrected. Deep tissue imaging under coverslip
  • 40/1.25 glycerol for high resolution confocal imaging
  • 63/1.4 oil for high resolution confocal imaging.
• Five very sensitive, photon counting HyD detectors (3 internal-2 External)
• 4Tune - spectrally tuneable, multi-photon detection unit, providing high flexibility and enabling multi-color deep in vivo experiments – With 3 non-descanned Detectors.
• NAVIGATOR - Multi-position - Tile scan module for big sample overviews
• LIGHTNING – Real-time, deconvolution based, super-resolution module
• FALCON - LifeTime Module with 2 detectors for FRET measurements and τ-sense Imaging
• FRAP/Cell Ablation module
• Temperature Control enclosure (with both cooling and heating capability)
