Confocal Leica TCS SP5 on a DMI6000 Inverted Microscope
The confocal is a Leica TCS SP5 with the dual (Tandem) Scanner.
Confocal Leica TCS SP5 II on a DM 6000 CFS Upright Microscope
Quantitative Photometry and Imaging system - PTI Ratio/Image Master
A combination of a dual channel photometry (up to 2KHz sampling rate) and imaging system (intensified CCD), for quantitative fluorescence microscopy of live cells from PTI - Photon Technology International
Specifications:
Neurolucida system for Neuroanatomical Analysis – MBF Bioscience
On a upright Leica microscope with a high-resolution motorized stage and a colour camera (Retiga 2000 - Q Imaging). For tracing, 3D mapping, Image analysis and morphometry of neurons filled with either fluorescent indicators or coloured stains. Data can be traced on-line from the attached microscope or imported as confocal stacks.
Stereo Investigator system for Stereology – MBF Bioscience
On a upright Leica microscope with a high-resolution motorized stage and a colour camera (Retiga 2000 - Q Imaging). For the un-biased quantification of cell counts, lengths, areas and volumes and other morphological properties of 3D structures from 2D data. Data can be acquired either directly from the attached microscope or imported as confocal stacks.
Two upright Leica (DMRA2), two inverted Leica (DMIRE2) microscopes and a fluorescence stereoscope (NIKON - SMZ800) with digital cameras and slide scanner for high resolution fluorescence or bright field imaging.
BIU incorporates an image analysis suite equipped with computers with specialised hardware and Image analysis software packages. All computers are linked via a fast (Gbit) network to two NAS servers (RAID5) for safe, unified storage. |
