The Biomedical Technology Office of the Biomedical Research Foundation of the Academy of Athens (BRFAA) has been created to support researchers of the Foundation on matters concerning the management and use of biomedical technology equipment. The objectives of the Biomedical Technology Office are:

• To organize and coordinate the management of biomedical equipment
• To support research groups in the use of biomedical equipments
• The maintaining of the database and identification of equipment suppliers
• The preparation of technical specifications of biomedical equipment
• The technical evaluation of tenders for purchase of machinery
• The maintenance and quality control of equipment
• Staff training in use of biomedical equipment
• The provision of outsourced advisory
• Participation in research projects
