Research Highlights :Composite macroH2A/NRF-1 Nucleosomes Suppress Noise and Generate Robustness in Gene Expression

The histone variant macroH2A marks specific regions in the genome.  Dr. Thanos and colleagues show that a specific subset of promoter-bound macroH2A nucleosomes are stabilized by the transcription factor NRF-1 and reduce the transcriptional variability of target genes.
