Ref: 2413 / 19-9-2013
BRFAA is interested in employing one highly motivated post-doctoral scientist in the lab of Neurodegenerative Diseases in the context of the EU/FP7-funded FP7-HEALTH-2013-INNOVATION-1 project entitled: “MutliSyn”. The project entails the histological and biochemical assessment of the dopaminergic system and of forms of α-synuclein following AAV-mediated transduction in rodent brain. The broad aim of the whole project is to develop novel modalities to image α-synuclein aggregates in vivo and to devise means to counteract this aggregation. The post is available for 2 years, with a possibility of a further renewal.
Candidates should have a BSc/MSc/PhD in Life Sciences, and demonstrable expertise in in vivo small animal experimentation, with an emphasis on studies of the Central Nervous System, and in particular the dopaminergic system. Prior post-doctoral occupation in relevant fields will be considered advantageous.
Interested candidates should submit at the Secretariat of BRFAA (Soranou Efesiou 4, 11527 Athens, Attention: Personnel Department) a cover letter outlining their motivation for this position and their areas of expertise, together with detailed curriculum vitae. This should include the names and e-mails of 3 scientists who can provide recommendation letters. The deadline for applications is the 4th of October 2013. For more information, please contact Dr. L.
