Brief Bio

Costis Dimitriou received his B.Sc. in Biomedical and Bioelectronic Engineering from the University of Salford, UK in 1997, and his M.Sc. in Engineering and Physical Sciences Applied to Medicine from Imperial College of the University of London, UK in 1998. In 2002 he joined the BRFAA and the Center of Experimental Surgery as a Research Staff Scientist Lecturer level and in 2007 he was elected at Assistant Professor level. His professional duties regard the implementation of electronic & biomedical engineering in experimental protocols mainly concerning the cardio-pulmonary system and the study of the mechanical properties of biological materials (mainly blood vessels). He is also responsible for the operation of all equipment used for research purposes in the Operating Room. He has published 4 papers in International and 8 in Greek Journals. He has presented 17 papers in International and 13 in Greek conferences.
