News :Katia Karalis Receives the Prestigious Helmholtz International Fellow Award

The Helmholtz Association has selected five outstanding international scientists for the 2017 Helmholtz International Fellow Award.  One of the five scientists honored with this year’s award is Dr. Katia Karalis, BRFAA Affiliated Investigator.  Helmholtz Zentrum München nominated Dr. Karalis, who is an expert in the novel field of human organ-on-chips technologies. 

The esteemed Award is given to distinguished senior scientists, and the winners are granted 20,000 euros and the opportunity to establish a consequential collaboration at one or more of the Helmholtz Centers.
