Hematopoietic Malignancies in Mouse Model Systems
In leukemia, as in most cancer cases, a genetic event occurs that leads to DNA alterations of specific genes and therefore modification of their (i) expression, (ii) molecular pathways and (iii) interactions. Our goal is to analyse both in vitro, in cell lines and in vivo, in mouse animal models, the mechanisms through which the malignant phenotype is developed, and focus on specific molecules that can be used as targets for novel therapeutic approaches.
