POSTDOCTORAL POSITION AT BASIC NEUROSCIENCES DIVISION.
A position for a highly motivated post-doctoral scientist is available in the lab of Dr. Leonidas Stefanis at BRFAA in the context of the GSRT-funded ARISTEIA project entitled: “The role of Chaperone-Mediated Autophagy in the nervous system in health and disease”. The project aims at the elucidation of the role of the degradation process of Chaperone-Mediated Autophagy in neuronal cells and in the nervous system, with particular focus on mechanisms of neuronal development and neurodegeneration. The post is available for 3 years.
Candidates should have a BSc/MSc/PhD in Life Sciences, demonstrable expertise in cellular and molecular neurobiology, as well as in in vivo small animal experimentation. Expertise in virus production and viral transduction of the CNS will be an added plus.
