Position available:
Postdoctoral position, Full Time, funded by the FP7-HEALTH-2012-INNOVATION-1 programme.

Position objective:
Investigation of the molecular role of STAT5 transcription factor and of erythropoiesis/thalassemia mechanisms.

Essential Education, Experience, Skills:
Candidates should have:

• PhD degree in Molecular Biology or Molecular Medicine or other related Life Sciences degree and more than 5 years experience in Basic Research Laboratories.
• Experience in molecular biology techniques (including ChIP, recombinant DNA techniques-cloning, RT-PCR, protein purification, Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, cell culture, transfections, immunofluorescence) and transgenic mice methodologies.
• Publications in peer-reviewed international journals.

Candidates should also be able to:

• Independently execute scientific research, critically analyze data and supervise students in their daily experiments.
