Today, we remember Professor Gregory D. Skalkeas. 

The man who envisioned, inspired and created the Biomedical Research Foundation of the Academy of Athens.

With persistence, setting aside obstacles, Prof. Skalkeas carried out a project that seemed utopian.  The Foundation's contribution to research, the national economy, and society, especially now, when the country is facing a pandemic, fully justifies his vision and his struggle.
